After getting a hold of the seller, to my surprise, we were able to work the whole thing out. I was so upset I played the black record but once. I thought I was out another forty bucks, because the only other clear records of Hesitant Alien were $70. I should've known better though, the sticker on the record I received wasn't the same as the one on the picture of the one I ordered. I had ordered a CLEAR vinyl, but received a normal BLACK record of the same album. I shoved the darn thing behind every record I owned and couldn't stand to look at it. Like I said, I screamed for a good five minutes. Upon opening and unveiling my personal gift to myself, I discovered it was the WRONG RECORD. For, on the day I received the package that my little emo soul was looking forward to, I ended up screaming out of frustration and quite literally so. Normal exchange, right? I was sadly mistaken. Talked to my mom, and she ordered it online for me while I paid her the cash. So I did some research, and finally found a Gerard Way CLEAR Hesitant Alien record for a reasonable price (with taxes and shipping, 'twas only $32 in comparison to similar products, for upwards of $70!). But here's a little story of my online adventure. 5 Pre-orders for both the vinyl and CD versions of the album became available in August, featuring a T-shirt and promotional zine created specifically for the pre-orders. Really though, I absolutely adore this album and artist. Hesitant Alien was released on September 29, in the UK, and a day later in the U.S. All puns aside, I was not hesitant with this purchase (ha, *sigh*).
